Pekka Kuusniemi appointed as new CEO of Hansa Metallwerke AG

The supervisory board (Aufsichtsrat) of Hansa has appointed Pekka Kuusniemi the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He also continues to serve as the President and CEO of the Oras Group. The management board (Vorstand) of Hansa Armaturen GmbH comprises of CEO Pekka Kuusniemi (Chairman) and CSO Joachim Stücke from 16 January 2014 onwards. 

Pekka Kuusniemi (M.Sc. Economics and Business Administration), age 45, CEO of the Oras Group since 2008, joined Oras in 2002. He is leading the Integration and brand building process of the new group.

“Hansa has a strong market position, highly renowned product quality and a recognized brand all over Continental Europe. Geographically, Oras and Hansa are an excellent fit”, says Pekka Kuusniemi.

Kuusniemi will replace Christopher Marshall who has resigned from his position as the CEO of Hansa Armaturen GmbH. Mr. Marshall’s resignation takes place in mutual understanding with the Oras Group management and owners.  Mr. Marshall has indicated an aspiration to move on to private entrepreneurship and he has the full support of the Oras Group in doing so. He has contributed significantly to the overall development of Hansa and in its transition to Oras Group.
